Do you need tools for personal and societal change? This training will help you to understand the elements and potentials of dialogue.
The Nansen Training “Dialogue in Society” is based on field experiences from more than 20 years of work in a variety of situations, such as Western Balkans, Iraq, Afghanistan, Poland, Colombia and Norway.
The ‘Dialogue in Conflict’ training will help you to understand the elements and potentials of dialogue. The session will be held from 22 to 25 October 2020, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m with a one hour lunch break. (precise details will be shared with the participants after registration).
The training will be conducted by Christiane Seehausen, Senior Advisor at the Nansen Center of Peace and Dialogue and the former Director for municipal integration centre for refugees in Norway.
All content will be delivered and discussed primarily in English.
Expected learning outcomes
- The training will help you to develop skills for the facilitation of participant-driven dialogue and the process of choosing dialogue topics.
- You will be introduced to tools to improve your communication skills and learn how to use dialogue in such situations.
- Personal reflection and awareness are also part of the learning outcome.
- You will connect with like-minded individuals and can decide if you want to engage in the ‘Ilmenau Dialogue Center‘ project of ISWI e.V. aimed at facilitating dialogue in Ilmenau.
